- Drive design-for-manufacture feedback into engineering before release.
- Own process qualification and the statistical evidence behind it.
- Investigate non-conformance to root cause and close it properly.
- Support supplier qualification and on-site audit.
What we need you to bring.
- Six or more years in manufacturing engineering for aerospace, medical, or comparable precision hardware.
- Practical command of GD&T, metrology, and process capability analysis.
- Experience writing work instructions that a technician can follow without you.
- Root-cause discipline — the finding, not the plausible story.
- Eligibility for sponsored Secret vetting.
Useful, not essential.
- Cleanroom or controlled-environment assembly experience.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or an equivalent quality system.
- Additive manufacturing or precision machining background.
We read the preferred list as a description of a useful background, not a checklist. Candidates who meet the required list and none of the preferred are regularly hired.
Who you would be joining.
Operations runs vertically integrated production at El Segundo supporting Aerospace and Defense. Manufacturing engineers sit on the floor, not in a separate building.
What to know before you apply.
The supply chain is audited end to end; supplier travel is part of the role and is scheduled in advance.
All candidates undergo comprehensive vetting. Reasonable accommodation is available at any stage — say so in your first note and it will be arranged. We do not use unverified third-party recruiters, and we never ask a candidate for a fee.
